The game Quantum Break will no longer be an xbox / Windows exclusive, but also become available on Steam and in retail on September 14.
Ambitious video game “Quantum Break” was first presented as exclusive to the Xbox One console, then as a joint release for Windows 10 computers. Now, after just five months on the Windows 10 Store, it’s being re-released but through one of the PC’s most popular retailers, Steam.
It features a mixture of time-travelling action, adventure, and conspiracy, with live action, television-style episodes sandwiched between each of its five main acts. Actors like Shawn Ashmore (the “X-Men” movies), Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”) and Dominic Monaghan (“Lord of the Rings”) lent their likenesses and acting talents to the game.
Also available on the same date: Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition. It will include a number of additional features like a “making of” disc, behind the scenes footage and more:
Premium packaging
5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
Making of Blu-Ray
Making of Book
1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
2 Posters
Quickstart Guide
Dominic Monaghan told Paste Magazine he would love to keep working on more video games.
Yeah, I’d like to. I’ve played video games, I’m a fan of video games. I play FIFA all the time, obviously. I’m a big fan of Skyrim and The Witcher and some UFC games. Old-school games like Goldeneye and Mario Kart, Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer, and things like that, I’m a fan of. If I’ve got everything done, and I’ve watched all my movies and all that kind of stuff, then I’ll stick on FIFA and kill a few hours playing FIFA, or playing The Witcher. So I’d like to keep doing video games, because it’s a medium that I think is very powerful, and a lot of fun—so much more immersive than movies.

Xbox’s Quantum Break finally has a release date, and a talented cast of familiar faces to go along with it.
During Gamescom in Germany, Microsoft announced that Quantum Break, from the makers of Max Payne and Alan Wake, will hit the Xbox One on April 5, 2016. Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen, Dominic Monaghan, and Lance Reddick are all set to star in the game, which will blend third-person gunplay and time manipulation with and live-action digital episodes that further the game’s story of time manipulation.
Remedy Entertainment has shared the names of two previously unannounced actors for its upcoming Xbox One action game, Quantum Break. An image of the duo in motion capture suits posted on twitter confirms their involvement. Quantum Break is a mix of a game and a series. So it makes perfect sense to hire experienced actors to bring the characters to life.
One of these names is Dominic Monaghan, we know he’s an avid gamer so this is perfect for him! The other name is Shawn Ashmore, who played Bobby Drake/Iceman in the X-Men films and Agent Mike Weston in The Following. This is not the first time that Ashmore and Monaghan have worked on a project together, they starred in a movie called “The Day” a few years ago. They will potentially be portraying the main characters in the game, though much is unknown at this point about the game.
Quantum Break is a third person action game out sometime in 2015 exclusively for the Xbox One.
