BBC Worldwide and BBC America just released the official news that the second season of Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan will be aired across BBC’s international network in 2014! They also announced co-producing the series with BBC America and Rogers Media in Canada. This is the first time BBC Worldwide’s global channel arms will team up with BBC America (who originally co-produced the first season of the travel adventure show). BBC Worldwide will hold international distribution rights for the programme.
Tracy Forsyth, VP Commissioning, Content, BBC Worldwide commented: “Wild Things has everything that we look for in a global show which is why coproducing series two with BBC America is hugely exciting for us. With the internationally recognised British talent Dominic Monaghan bringing his genuine passion for wildlife to the screen, this show will appeal to audiences everywhere”.
Perry Simon, General Manager, BBC America added: “Not only is Dominic a wildlife enthusiast, he’s a fearless adventurer, fantastic communicator and an incredibly engaging host. We’re delighted our colleagues at BBC Worldwide Global Channels have come onboard for season two, so even more viewers around the globe can join him on these extraordinary journeys.”
Congrats, Dominic! Looking forward to season 2 and watching it together with people from all around the world!
